James Lam

James is a former Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Basketball athlete, who is now passing his knowledge of the game down to our youth athletes of Western City Basketball. James also has experience playing Basketball at the High School level, where he captured a Provincial Championship during his Grade 11 year for Waterford Valley High. 

Paul Loveless

Paul is very passionate about the sport of Basketball, and the growth of youth athletes. Paul is known for spreading the enjoyment of the game to our players, resulting in the positive work environment that Western City is known for. Paul believes that fundamentals are the key to developing youth Basketball players today. Paul is also a N.C.C.P Level One Certified Coach.  

Danny Loveless

Danny has been heavily involved with Basketball as a player, and a coach for the last 11 years. As the founder of Western City Basketball, Danny used his love of the game as an opportunity to train youth athletes at a high level. Danny's positive work environments typically gravitate athletes toward his programs. A mix of constant hard work and positive energy, separates Danny from other youth coaches

Danny's history of playing basketball brought him player experience at a High School and Provincial level, where he has competed outside of Newfoundland in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and P.E.I. Danny's involvement in the sport continued when he began coaching as a Head Coach at the young age of 14.

Through his years of experience learning and coaching the game, Danny brought his passion to set out on a mission to form an elite youth basketball program in St. John's that promotes athletes before anything else, the culture of Western City Basketball
